I recently collaborated with sound designer Ryan Walsh to produce “Four-Letter Words”, an analogue sound remix project for the fourth Seven w/Another show, held in Brisbane in Feb 2012.

We used custom-made blank vinyl LPs and laser cut coloured picture discs in the shape of letters of the alphabet and inset them in to the blank discs. Gallery patrons were then invited to ‘play’ the four letter words of their choice on four turntables and hear what the remixed vinyl words sound like. Rhythms and patterns can be varied by placing the four stylus at different places on the discs.
