This is a tactile portrait commission, constructed entirely from 8100 “pixels”, hand cut from Dulux paint swatches, glued to a framed canvas using double-sided carpet tape. Each square is 1cm in dimension and the piece took over 1000 hours to complete.

So, what kind of archive life does this have? Is it intended to be a permanent piece of art?
The swatches are real paint, so they would be as colourfast as any house paint, the only issue is the double-sided tape, but they’ve been framed close to the glass so if the tape fails, the pieces will stay in place.
