The We Heart Collective (of which I’m a founding member) was recently invited to participate in the We Heart Home festival, to be held next weekend in Brisvegas. I won’t be able to go as I’ll be in Noosa that weekend, but the girls and I are collaborating on a quilt where all of us will contribute three squares of fabric each for this quilt. One of the collective members, Porsha will be sewing the quilt together next Friday. I can’t wait to see how the whole thing will look.
For my three pieces, I thought I’d carry on with the sewn type idea that I’ve been playing with recently. I’ve been getting a little bored of the monochromatic direction I’ve been going in recently, so I went for full colour this time … literally. I used the three printing primaries, Cyan, Yellow and Magenta. I was keen to try and replicate overprinting, so I offset them deliberately, and I think on the solid heart in particular, it worked really well. I’ll be playing with this idea a little more I feel.

I’m afraid I am addicted. [/alert]
