With every new business venture or a creative idea, we usually charge forward, powered by sheer enthusiasm. But this initial burst of energy soon wears off. Without a foundation of intrinsic motivation driving them, many good projects fall by the wayside.

The word motivation hides the clue. If you lack a motive, you will eventually run out of motivation.
