20. Diagram your ideal life

EPISODE 20: When you are creative it’s easy to lose track of what you are meant to be doing with your life, why you have creative skills, who you can help with them and how you can make money. There is often a conflict between our passion, mission, vocation, and profession, many people have unfulfilling jobs for this exact reason. The overlap diagram is a simple way to see where all four areas of your life intersect.

In episodes 3 and 4 of the creative spark podcast, we talked about skills sets and natural aptitudes.

In episodes 7 and 8 of the podcast, we talked about how challenges define you and that overcoming your core struggles is the key to understanding how you can help guide others down the same path.

In episodes 11 and 12 of the podcast, we talked about how your passions will keep you motivated throughout the ups and downs of a creative side business.

Ideally, your creative life should combine all of these aspects, so if you’ve been downloading the worksheets from episodes 4, 8, 12, and 16, you can overlay them all together now and see where any overlap. If you haven’t filled in any of the worksheets, you can do that first, or have a crack at the overlap diagram anyway.
