31. Orient your brand values

EPISODE 31: Values stand at the very core of your personal brand. They’re the centre from which everything radiates—including your brand’s look (design), message (voice), and relationships (customer service). Now, this can be your very own personal values, and then you might think of a separate group of values for your creative business or brand.
 
Every day, whether you realise it or not, we all make decisions based on what we believe in. Think about the choices, challenges, or opportunities facing us every day—and how we engage with them. In politics, family, relationships, work, and play reveal something important about our character, desires, and personality to ourselves and to others. 
 
The problem is, many of us don’t realise what our values actually are or why we get so heated in arguments around certain topics. It can be very difficult to work at a company where there isn't a clear set of values and you really only find out that your values differ to the brand values of your company when you bump into difficult situations.
 
The way our values affect our choices can change. But also our choices can end up affecting our values. It’s time to get clear on what your values are and why you hold them so dear.
